    We register disabled citizens in rural areas who are hidden and hardly ever see the light of day. Without registration no one knows how many disabled citizens Pakistan has. Without knowing the number we cannot begin to serve their interest. Help us in this endeavor and help us shine some light on their state and challenges. This is linked to our wheelchair program.

  • Operation Eid Partnership

    Operation Eid” is a project that inspires people to pack a gift box for under privilege children on Eid day. AKHO will help distribute these boxes to the deserving children locally and in remote areas. You can donate these boxes straight to AKHO address or ask us to pick them up at different addresses.

  • Ramzan Ration

    Every Ramzan AKHO tries to reach the vulnerable forgotten people who find every day expenses a huge challenge. In this month or mercy, peace and compassion we are supposed to reach out and serve as many people as possible. AKHO create food packs with the attached items and distributes it in the poorest families. We urge everyone to join in with whatever they can mange and help us reach as many families as possible.

  • Bag & Books donation

    AKHO is starting a movement to collect books for its informal school. Alongside it is starting small libraries in other purer schools where books are hard to come by. Please send in your used books or tell us and we will collect them and then share the love.

  • Skill Center

    Many women desperately need an income. They cannot leave home due to conservative values or small children. We have sewing machines and will now be training women to stitch clothes so they can earn a living from home.

  • Informal School

    In our community all the children that do not go to school are being wasted. There are multiple aged children. AKHO has started an informal school for such children. We are renting a space at our champion's house and upgrading it. We have found a local teacher who is also going to be trained by our partners. A Ramzan drive has begun to collect bags, uniforms and books so that we can share that with every child. Please join us in building this initiative and making sure that all these children have a safe place to go to and learn.

  • Wells & Wheels

    10% of Pakistani population is disabled. 40% of the population lack clean drinking water. Many have no water. Wells and Wheels is a project to provide wheelchairs to the disabled and Wells to the poorest communities who lack the access. Many donors want to name the well after their parents or give Sadqas. This project can be very fulfilling for those who want to make such donations.

  • Rural Eid Qurbani (sacrifice) by Women

    Many in poor rural communities cannot afford meat. On Eid ul Azha AKHO organizes qurbanis by poor women who manage the whole event. They identify the disabled, orphans and the poor in their community. They do qurbani together and cook Pilau and feed the marginalized. This act transforms the women in many ways. It gives them dignity, respect from the local members and helps build their confidence. Instead of doing your qurbani in urban center we encourage you to help us reach a larger rural and remote population that never gets a share in outside help.
